Ecological Farming Centre-Kenya is a non-profit public benefit organization (PBO) situated at Rukuriri in Embu County, with a purpose to educate, train and work with disadvantaged small-scale farmers on ecological farming systems on the Mt. Kenya ecosystem region. ECOFACE-KENYA was founded and registered in 2022 as a non –profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a mission to educate and train small scale farmers in ecological farming systems in Kenya. It was formed as a  result of the challenges faced by small scale farmers in production systems which exposes them to toxins from the production systems and need for safe and affordable farming systems.

The partners found that most small-scale farmers were unable to meet all their nutritional needs and lacked diversity in their nutritional needs. These necessities the need for production system that will lead to diversified nutrition needs. Lack of safe inputs exposes farmers to lifestyle health complications, this intensifies the need for safe production systems through bio-inputs trainings, promotion and use by the small-scale farmers. The health needs by the society will largely depend by small scale farmers in the safe farm production systems.

The approach also seeks to conserve environment and work with communities in conserving the eco-system and reclaiming the water towers in the regions. Protection of the bio-diversity focusing on safe environmentally friendly production systems and protection of endangered species.

improved livelihood through financial literacy and reduced farming cost and diversification of farm revenues as it also seeks to ensure that farmers reduce their expenses in purchase of nutrition needs that can be produced in their farms.
